Bongo 25.3 Release Notes

Indicates the customer-facing features and changes included in the Bongo 25.3 update, released on December 11, 2025.

Smart Score - Scoring Improvements

Response Criteria within Question & Answer, and Learning Objectives Criteria in Individual Assessment, now include more flexibility in defining success:

  • Users can now update criteria to include options such as: “Mention at least 3 of these 5 items…” or “The learner says this or that”.
  • Users can now update criteria to include objectives about the learner's delivery. E.g. “The learner uses professional language during their presentation”

Smart Score Evaluation Preview

  • The Smart Scoring evaluation type now has a new option to enable an evaluation preview for learners. If this option is enabled, learners will be able to view their Smart Scores for all videos before they submit. This allows learners to use the scoring as feedback and they can choose to re-record before doing a final submission.
  • Q&A assignments where evaluation preview has been enabled will always allow learners to reset their responses if they want to try again.

AI Feedback Visibility for Learners

  • A new option for individual projects has been introduced which allows AI feedback to be hidden from learners entirely, or until they finalize their submission.
  • This allows for a higher stakes assignment while allowing Smart Scoring to be used as the evaluation type if desired.

Individual Project - Disable Learner Reset

  • A new option has been added to Individual Project assignments which prevents learners from resetting their assignments. If learner reset is allowed, learners are able to reset their submission as long as no instructor or peer has started to review their submission.

General Enhancements

  • Assignments with Smart Scoring require a learner to submit a video that is clear and able to be analyzed. The previous clarity score requirement to submit has been lowered to 50%.
  • A fullscreen option was added to Interactive Video assignments
  • The Evaluation Type for Peer Review is now defaulted to ‘none’. Rubric or 5-Star can still be manually chosen if desired.
