Bongo 25.1 Release Notes

Indicates the customer-facing features and changes included in the Bongo 25.1 update, released on March 27, 2025.

Document Upload to Generate Learning Objectives or Questions

Content authors now have the ability to directly upload a reference document that will be used to generate Learning Objectives or Q&A questions.

• This process accepts PDF files, office documents (.docx, xlsx, pptx, .ods, .odt, .odp), basic text files (.txt, .md), and caption files from a reference video (.srt, .vtt)
• Users can still copy/paste text by using the manual option below the document upload.

Enhanced Toolset Control

Individual and Group Project assignments have been updated to allow additional customization regarding what tools are available to learners.

• All recording modes are enabled by default, but can be individually disabled to streamline the learner workflow through an assignment. Disabling all but one mode will force learners to use that specific mode when recording.

• Submission requirements can now be set for an assignment. Switching either Recording or Attachment to ‘Required’ will prevent learners from submitting until they have included all the required items for their submission. Both options are set as optional by default.

‘Automatic Score Publication’ Flexibility

The option for Smart Score assignments to automatically publish scores to learners was previously locked after learners submitted, but now can be toggled at any time. If this setting is changed, any future submissions will follow the automatic score flag. Previous submissions may need to be manually published.
