Bongo Direct 24.1 Release Notes

Indicates the customer-facing features and changes included in the Bongo Direct 24.1 update, released on February 29, 2024.

Updated User Experience

The Bongo Direct user experience has been updated to provide additional information to users and a more seamless and intuitive experience. This update includes:

• A new navigation bar on the left side of the screen. This includes quick access to any enrolled courses and will be how some upcoming features will be accessed.
• An improved course view with quicker access to Assignments, Members, and Settings.
• An updated look and feel including an updated color palette.

Enterprise SSO Support

• Bongo Direct now supports SSO integration using SAML 2.0. Once configured, this allows users to bypass the Bongo login screen and use a third party authenticator to access Bongo.

Course Archive

• Instructors and Admins are now able to archive courses
• Archived courses will no longer be available to any learners or reviewers who are enrolled, but all content remains in place in case it is needed at a later date.
• Instructors and Admins are able to view a list of archived courses and restore them if they wish.

Assignment Delete

• Instructors and Admins can now delete any assignment. Deleting an assignment will also delete any content inside the assignment, and it can not be restored once the delete is confirmed.
