Embedding Bongo

Bongo supports different ways to integrate into your learning platform. If your learning platform supports LTI integrations, you can click here to learn more about how Bongo integrates using LTI.

Bongo and AICC

Bongo supports embedding assignments using an AICC package. This allows learners to access and complete Bongo assignments from within their main learning platform and bypass the need to create an account with Bongo. Then, once a learner has been scored automatically or by a reviewer, the score is passed to the learning platform and the assignment is marked 'complete.'

Exporting an AICC Package

Admins and Instructors are able to export an AICC package for any assignment in Bongo Direct. To download the package, click the 3-dot menu next to the assignment you want to export, and select 'Download AICC package.' This will download a .zip file that can then be uploaded into your learning platform.

Importing an AICC Package

Each learning platform that supports AICC content has a slightly different workflow for adding an assignment using AICC. If there is not an explicit 'AICC' option, it is sometimes bundled with the SCORM upload or generically referred to as a 'Web Package.' Once this option is selected, you will be able to upload the .zip file from Bongo.

Launching Bongo using AICC

Once an AICC package has been uploaded to the learning platform, learners are able to open the assignment and launch Bongo. Learners will be presented with one Bongo assignment that they can work on and submit. They should be able to launch the same assignment multiple times and retain any progress made during a previous launch.

Reviewing and Scoring Submissions

Submissions made using an AICC launch can be reviewed and scored in the same way as any other submissions in Bongo Direct. If you are using email notifications for learner submissions, you will receive notifications whenever a learner submits using AICC as well. If a score is provided, then the score will be sent back to the learning platform where the AICC package was embedded, and the learner's submission will typically be marked as 'complete' in the learning platform.
