Bongo 22.9 Release Notes

Indicates the customer-facing features and changes included in the Bongo 22.9 update, released on October 22, 2022.

Support for LTI 1.3 / LTI Advantage*

Bongo now supports the use of the LTI 1.3/LTI Advantage standard. This includes the
ability to launch Bongo using the updated 1.3 specification, and the passing back of
scores using the Assignment and Grade Services 2.0 specification.

Activity Overview - Improvements for Large Courses

Multiple changes have been made to better support large courses.

• Backend queries have been optimized to allow for significantly faster loading of the
  Activity Overview page when many learners are enrolled in a course.
• If 500 or more learners are enrolled in a course, the learner list will automatically be
  filtered to just those in the ‘Needs Evaluation’ state by default when loading the
  Activity Overview page. The filters can be changed to view the learners in other
  states, but only one state may be selected at a time.

Auto Analysis Guidance - Updated Experience

The Auto Analysis guidance available inside of Individual Project has been updated.

• The guidance is now more dynamic, and will be automatically minimized if the user
  has seen that information on that device before.
• The display of the information has been slightly updated based on feedback

Q&A - Updated Countdown Experience

The countdown that can be configured for Q&A questions has been updated. The new countdown is more prominent and now includes a circle indicator to display how much time the user has left before the recording will begin automatically. Additionally, other improvements were made to make the workflow more accessible to users using screen readers.

Accessibility - Various Fixes

Various accessibility issues have been addressed.

*Bongo's integrations with D2L and Cengage utilize both LTI and other customizations, and do not yet support LTI version 1.3
