Indicates the customer-facing features and changes included in the Bongo 23.1 update, released on February 16, 2023.
New Audio-Only Options
- For Individual and Group Project assignments, learners are now able to utilize a new audio-only recorder if they desire. Learners were previously able to upload an audio file in place of a video, but now they are able to use the Bongo recorder to directly record an audio file. Audio files are treated similarly to video recordings and can be used as the main submission object and will be analyzed using Auto Analysis if enabled for the assignment.
- For Q&A assignments, the answer settings section of the configuration has been updated. Assignment authors are now able to enable or disable both the options to require a camera, and to require screen sharing. If both options are disabled, learners will only utilize their microphones when taking the assignment. Auto Analysis will still function the same if cameras are disabled.
Playback Speed
- When using the new video player to view work-in-progress videos or submitted videos, users now have the option to speed up or slow down the video playback. A list of available speeds are provided for the user to choose from.
Video Recorder - New Post-Recording Workflow
- The Bongo video recorder has been updated with an updated post-recording workflow. The same actions are still available (Saving the video, playing back the recording, re-recording the video, and downloading the video), but the actions are now available on top of the video instead of below.
